There's a lot we can do to increase SEO ranking for SN. Here few ideas:
  • Create SEO-friendly content, meaning: use words and construct your posts with coherence making sure the content stay relevant for the long-term. SEO scores multiply by generating quality content and engagement. Even small actions—like internal linking or sharing posts on facebook on a regular basis—sum up over time to boost domain authority.
  • Build authority through collaboration: ~AMA is a great example, doing great. ~Music could also take a similar approach, inviting singers and artists for #MusicAMAs... for example. Anyway, the point is to invite external people to talk about the topic they master, they will bring all their followers and fans to SN if and when they advertise the event in their channels.
  • Encourage Constructive Conversations asking open-ended questions (anyone noticed ~AskSN success lately?), reply to comments, and upvote quality posts to keep pages active (not to get more sats). Try to use, add links to, and reference older SN posts or discussions, to support your post contents.
  • Improve External Visibility sharing SN content virally! Yes, stop shitposting here. Instead, share links to your Stacker.news threads on other social media, blogs, forums, or newsletters to drive traffic and rise backlinks ranking. When possible, collaborate and partner with other users to create in-depth series to maintain user engagement, and cross-promote on nostr or somewhere else.
  • Optimize your contents keeping an eye on formatting and adding relevant images, references, and footnotes. We have the tools for it, read How to improve your Markdown writing on SN
This is what I can think of, there are probably other ways.
Great ideas
I've shared some ideas with k00b that might help keep older posts active for longer.
Internal linking is something I need to do more often. I tend to get lazy and not want to look for the post(s) I'm thinking about.

A good option for that is use the recently renewed search and find contents that maybe relevant to what you want to post about.

Yeah, it's even worse in my case, because I usually have a particular post in mind and just don't feel like looking for it.

An opportunity to build new SN habits 🤣
