Ontario will ban US firms from bidding for public sector contracts, locking American contractors, engineers and consultants out of some US$139.7bn worth of infrastructure projects in the most populous Canadian province.

My thoughts 💭

Hopefully Canada has the firms and manpower to get this down with out USA. If not they are shooting themselves in the foot.
So at first it seems like a logical decision, but I'm pretty sure it's the consequence of something. Possible causes:
  1. Bad experiences with US companies
  2. Canada's unfavorable tax treatment of the US
  3. "Reply" to the USA for introducing extra taxes
  4. Protection of the workforce and companies within the country
I firmly believe that the latter is the most likely outcome.

That should do wonders to help keep costs down and limit delays. Haha
