I mean, I know I shouldn't be surprised that legacy media is a reliable anti-compass for truth, and The Economist repeatedly writes the most bonkers shit there it.
I guess I still have some hopes for this old, venerable, and awesome magazine. But this issue is literally insane... or I'm losing my mind
  • Elon/Doge is destroying careers and wreaking havoc (which is somehow bad)
  • Israel's "expansionism" is bad
  • Britain's left-wing, heavy-handed gov is positive for growth
  • Europe should spend way more on defense
  • ...and we should jab babies with experimental pharma treatments!

What am I missing, Stackers?

The @Undisciplined takeover cannot come fast enough.

Same as @Undisciplined on Israel, but, other than that, I no longer trust the Economist at all. In college I would look forward weekly to the day the new copy arrived in the library. The writing was intelligent and very funny. I even had a subscription for a few years after I got my first decent job (it was pricey as a weekly).
It has gotten progressively more globalist over the years, losing the objective perspective and humor I enjoyed. I can't read it now. It has became a propaganda rag, in my opinion.

China has won the trade war and USA is in decline. US Fed Res is owned by Jewish bankers. US government obediently serves them. Trump included.
The era of Israel having the backing of the world super power is waning. China backs Iran...and recently Saudi Arabia joined Chinas BRICS alternative to SWIFT- eBridge.
Domination in trade inevitably derives domination of global protocols and governance. Trump and Musk see that but it may be too late already for western civilisation.
US exceptionalists and Libertarians remain blind to the truth. The nation state and its power projection is a major factor in the wealth of nations.
