Thanks for working on search.
The FORMAT of the search result output is hard to read.
I searched for @signal312 carnviore
- The word that you're searching for is highlighted, everywhere. If it's a somewhat common word, it's a confusing read
- The excessively bold highlighting of the search term obscures the difference between the different results. It's hard to tell where one starts, and the other begins
- The title of the post is in a pale gray. It's hard to see, and distinguish between them.
- The title is AFTER things that are less important. Like the sats, number of replies. Maybe those would be better on the next line, in a smaller font
- it's not possible (or is it?) to be able to tell whether the search term shows up in a post, or a comment. Would be nice if you could.
- Also - it doesn't look like search finds everything. I searched for this: @signal312 carnviore ... and it didn't find the article #335229. And I think more were missing.
How did you eventually find the post (#335229)?

I had it on a personal list, I was keeping track of some of my posts.

Also one more thing - maybe you could limit (in the search results) how many lines you show, for each result? Instead of showing EVERY single time where the target word shows up?
The way it is now, the results are hard to visually parse. This is probably also because the title is so hard to distinguish from the rest of the results.
And then somehow giving an indication, visually, of whether the search result is in the actual post, or in a comment.

I agree with your feedback on the ui/ux of search. Will open a github issue.

Thanks.
One more thing...wouldn't it be cool to have a few more options in "advanced search" ?
The option would be ~PostOnly and ~CommentOnly. To be able to distinguish between the two in the search results.
Okay, just one more thing - the font that the word Filters is written in, in the above screenshot, is actively working against understandability. Maybe switch it out with something else.
