Haha so true. Tesla is more mainstream now though. I think early adopters were fanatics and zealots but normal folks own tesla's now too. I know a couple people with Teslas.
The only people I know well who own Teslas, were early adopters and they haven't been able to psychologically reconcile him joining up with "literally Hitler."
They were trying to explain how Elon is being "blamed for things" that weren't his fault, but they were talking about DOGE, so I don't know how they got there.

This reminds me of the reaction of one of my neighbours when I mentioned we went to Texas for 3 months a few years ago and were thinking about living in the US part time. She said "oh my god, Ted Cruz, I could never". I still laugh at that to this day.
Nice lady but clearly the media owns her mind.

Could you imagine not travelling somewhere to visit family because of who the state's senator is? Haha

If I'm being as charitable as possible, I could imagine not wanting to go somewhere because of the kinds of people who would elect a terrible senator.
