You'll want to be skeptical of what they SAY and what they actually DO.
I've seen devices to do classroom phone storage like the below, UNUSED. Because to actually use them involves enforcement, and enforcement is hard.

France too. Has it ever been a good sign when these nations enact totalitarian measures in lockstep with one another?

And so they said about restricting calculator use..... Why not use their resources to inform and encourage patents to take a more active role in overseeing that these devices are not abused at home? Totalitarian policing will not stem the tide. May as well ride it.
