Found this lady the other day. It'll be a nice addition to my ongoing butterfly / insect collection.
I leave the moths / butterflies in a small netted cage to naturally die in. The luna moths do not eat, so they last but only a few days. Some of the larger swallowtails live up to quite some time but I take them out and let them fly around my room sometimes.

I have only seen one Luna moth in my life. It perched near the back door of our house. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

Ahh wow, I see them maybe once a week in front of my house during the summer. I feel fortunate to see such beauty

How do you preserve them?

Once they're dried and set after pinning them I simply put them in a shadowbox frame. Keep it out of the sun, and they seem to last a good amount of time. I'll make a video of me pinning this one when it passes.

Amazing, he had always had that curiosity, how they did to preserve butterflies in this type of exhibition.
