This is from the MIT Bitcoin Expo 2025. He talks about mechanism design a bit in the latter half of the talk. To my chagrin, he thinks paying people to run relays turns on capitalism like a switch and they'll also begin selling your data (as if making money is an insatiable habit we otherwise forget). I'm more inclined to believe the opposite - we're more likely to connect to a data harvesting/selling relay if the only non-intrinsic incentive is data harvesting/selling.
