We are counting down MLB's best ballparks throughout the 2025 season.
Here is last week's edition #939158
The next ballpark on the list #24.
Nationals Park- Washington Nationals Opened: 2008 Capacity: 41,339
Washington Post once described it as "an architecture of distraction". Essentially a maze designed to take your money as opposed to creating a great fan experience. Beyond that glowing endorsement, the place just looks bland. The skyline isn't anything to write home about, the old school style scoreboard with Nationals draped across the top was a nice idea but I am unmoved by the execution. Like many parks we will cover, it looks like a perfectly reasonable place to spend an afternoon/evening watching a ballgame but just doesn't have that wow factor. I will give them credit for naming it Nationals Park instead of selling out for a dumb corporate name, like Rate field.
On to number 23 next week.
Sats for all, GR
Wow... I've never been to a baseball game (it's not a big deal in Europe), but seeing the stadium certainly puts you in a good mood when watching a game.

Baseball stadiums are all unique and usually beautiful places to view sports. Even the worst ones are quite nice.

This is the case with all stadiums...each one is unique, special, and attractive for some reason. And of course, everyone has their favorite team's stadium as the most beautiful (or one of the most beautiful)
reply
I think this is a fair assessment but I like the diamondbacks stadium more

Next week I will post another warehouse disguised as a stadium and you can compare it to Chase Field.
reply
Hahaha maybe I have a thing for warehouse style ball parks
