I thought I needed Acrobat for something quick. Downloaded it and installed it quickly without looking at default options. 10 minutes later found out it installed McAfee Security software as well, as a default option.
Malware. instant delete both. Never touching adobe products again.

I still find myself needing/using photoshop, but it might just be a habit. At least on Mac, it doesn't try to command and control that hard. Or, at least, I've had it installed so long I don't notice all the nonsense that gets installed with it.

It might be a new thing... I don't remember Acrobat ever installing other stuff before.
Adobe might be dying or in desperate need of revenue?

It's been many years since I had to install Acrobat but I recall it offering to install a ton of crappy apps. Not new but maybe they have become crafty with it.

Acrobat, like Flash and the forgotten Shockwave all always installed McAfee if you didn’t pay attention during setup. I don’t know what kind of perpetual contract they have honestly.

Adobe is terrible and Acrobat specifically has been bad for well over a decade.
