The FTC alleged the company charged customers for Uber One, a service for fee-free delivery and discounts on rides, without their consent and made it too difficult for them to cancel, despite the company’s “cancel anytime” marketing.
“Americans are tired of getting signed up for unwanted subscriptions that seem impossible to cancel,” FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson said in a press release.
Never taken an uber but people seem to like the service.

I don't like Uber. Uber is not the first choice in India. We have Ola Cabs which is much better.
When I was living in the city, I had to take a pick and drop. I remember I only used Uber for 1 month and never used again.

I will say that the last time I cancelled Uber One, I had to Google "how can I cancel Uber One" to figure out where the setting was. That said, I definitely signed up knowingly.
