Set a goal. A big one. Something that you have been postponing, something that you have been dreading. Or something that would just make yourself proud. Go big or go bust.
Post it here. Make it tangible.
Don't say: I'm going to learn Korean. Say, you will learn 1000 words on Memrise.
Don't say: I will work on my side hustle. Say, I will increase my income by 500k sats.
Don't say: I will help the Bitcoin ecosystem. Say, I will onboard 3 businesses to accept Bitcoin.
Don't say: I will help SN grow. Say, I will post a long form high effort post every day on SN, and post 1000 low quality posts in #948515.
10,000 sats will come to the one achieving his most crazy goal, as decided by myself at the end of next week (Sunday). I'll probably let the community sway me one way or another, but wanna make sure I'm not rewarding the biggest troll~~ Some kind of POW will be expected, but you don't need to doxx yourself while doing so.
You can have subgoals, but try to fit them inside one single overarching goal.
Daily updates are appreciated as comments to your own goal comment.
I'll also post my goal, but I won't be running for the reward of course.
Let's get some work done the next 7 days!

The next 7 days I shall triage and fix a 10+ year old bug that was brought to my attention Friday evening AND rework the code in question to make sure that these types of bugs are easier to spot on that part of code from now on.
I shall earn 0 sats in this process and shall gain 0 reputation points. I will however be very pleased with myself when this is done, +1000 ego points.

Interested to know how someone increases their income by 500k sats.
I've been putting off cleaning out the study and the shed. It's not much, but I'll be doing it this week. Just to get it out of the way and open up my time to the next project would be nice.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Some semi-focused open source contributions on SN can get you there if you have the proper skills...
Good to hear it inspires others. The goal was mostly selfish to get myself some accountability to get those collaborations out of the way~~

Not an extraordinarily big goal, but I’m going to present on AI-enabled features on Student Learning Space, my country’s e-learning platform, to my coworkers.
I should be spending all my free periods planning for that workshop, but I already planned to collect my passport tomorrow.
As if that isn’t enough, I still have to write an email tomorrow to entice my coworkers to sign up for the workshop
Let’s hoping that I emerge unscathed

My goal, clean up heavy backlog in some of my collaborative works by
  • Closing the work with the Daegu group by sending them the final calculations.
  • Submitting the 2 papers with the Texas group after reviewing them.
  • Finishing the figures for the SNU group and making first paper draft on Overleaf.
  • Calculating the topological numbers for the YD group. Figure out the physics angle for the paper.
Will add more if I feel I am on track.
This will free up a lot of mental space and time to tackle other projects.

Coool idea! I'll perhaps enter the next week. I'm already in the middle of something, I'll just share it later.
