Yupp, I agree. However because it's a great idea and it may work with some improvisations. 
A simple solution may be putting in some rules for disqualification, though it may need some policing. I think stackers can reciprocally police each other against spam by informing you (a group of two or three stackers as jury) about it.

As a suggestion, if you ever run the same again, don't just include the comments on one post. Please count the total comments so that participants get more room to place some meaningful words.
