The Karnataka High Court has actually instructed the Union Government to block Proton Mail in India due to its alleged misuse for sending hoax bomb threats and harassing emails.

But that's not the only case...
Proton Mail has even removed its servers from India, Sehgal submitted. He added that bomb threats were also sent to schools in India using Proton Mail recently.
The bigger news is that Proton Mail has denied government to give any data about any mails.

Might as well ban computers - they were used to access proton mail, which was used to send bomb threats or whatever else

Haha, they can, they just love to ban!
India has a long history of banning this or that but the people are much smarter to use the banned things particularly.
