ChatGPT has never watched a football game. You are really grasping at straws to confirm your bias. You should ask it why it included Dan Campbell whose teams have choked in the playoffs two years in a row. Including blowing a 17 point lead against the 49ers in the NFC Championship, making multiple stupid 4th down calls in the process.
If Championships and not blowing playoff games late is the criteria why is Campbell there?
The opposite, I have to look past my own personal bias that would favor Shanahan. Although I didn’t personally know Kyle Shanahan, he grew up in the next town over, and we had a lot of the same mutual friends.
Personal feelings aside, I don’t see him in the top 5, but if he wins a ring, I’d leapfrog him ahead of Harbaugh for sure and maybe even McVay.

You think Dan Campbell is a top 5 coach but not Kyle Shanahan? That's wild. Campbell wasn't even the best coach on his team. That guy now coaches the Bears.
Where is Campbell's ring since your only criteria is Super Bowls.
reply
I’d put Shanahan above Dan Campbell.

I should be out on Shanahan. The 49ers sucked last year. I have seen them blow 4th quarter leads in two Super Bowls. I should be irrational and say Shanahan sucks. But despite his flaws he is an excellent coach and I am certain almost every franchise would take him over Campbell and Sirianni. If he had a SB he would be top 3 but he doesn’t so he is 5.

Agree with a Super Bowl, he would get that choking monkey off his back and he shoots up to top 5 for sure, but yeah, we're going to walk away disagreeing about top 5. :) I'm on ChatGPT's side on that one.

I hear you regarding the super bowls but Shanahan didn’t drop the INT in the end zone in 2020 and didn’t let Chris Jones run free on the most crucial third down of the game. At some point the coach can only do so much. Players need to execute. Again, he deserves criticisms in both those games but players do as well.
Agree with you, I’d pull Campbell and put Tomlin.
reply
Ok so who is your top 5 because earlier you admitted that Sirianni might not be top 5 but you thought he was top 10.
reply
I personally would put Sirianni in the top 5, but if someone disagreed, I wouldn't fight them on it. I think you said something like he isn't even a top 10, and yeah, I couldn't disagree more there. :)
Anyway since you asked, here's my top 5:
Andy Reid John Harbaugh Sean McVay Nick Sirianni Mike Tomlin
The huge knock against Shanahan would be the consistent meltdowns. I don't think it's only about the rings...personally I'd put him ahead of say Sean Payton, but man, I mean how many times and in how many different roles are you going to poop the bed.

Ok well you are entitled to your own opinion but Sirianni was within a hair of getting fired after their second half collapse in 2023 and embarrassing playoff blowout loss. It was the GM that hired Moore and Fangio, revamped the roster bringing in Saquon and and entire new defensive secondary. I just don’t see the point in giving a guy credit for other people’s work. Not top 5 credit anyways. I think Sirianni would be a bottom half of the league coach if he didn’t work with the best front office in the league.
