These numbers may look a little goofy until September, because all the feds who took deferred resignation will still appear to be employed, even though they either aren't working or they're now working what appears to be a second job.

My understanding of people who took it is honestly they are on vacation because if they start working somewhere else then the money gets cut off. Fed government losses are incorporated to a point, think of those fired,

That's not right. There are only a few jobs that they can't take while on administrative leave. The only prohibition I'm aware of is taking a job with a direct conflict of interest with their federal position.
The administration was very clear about this basic point though. They strongly encouraged people to take private sector jobs while still receiving the administrative leave.

So just from being here they are firing people who according to the GS scale are unfireable. The previous contracts these people signed that everyone thought was air tight yeah that turned out to be BS

I know several people who took these deferred resignations and I've gotten a lot of the inside scoop on it.
They've been pretty unequivocal about being allowed to work another job right away and many people are already doing so.
