Not that I’m aware of. Neither Jameson Lopp nor Peter Todd are regular Bitcoin Core contributors. All arguments that I have seen were based on where the data would be stored, whether the OP_RETURN limit is still effective, and whether we want to have this debate every few years.
What does "conflict of interest" even mean in a situation like this?
If such interests suggest technical concerns about the implications of a change, then those implications can be discussed on their merits. What additional use of peering into the hearts of actors in the space?
