This is really cool. I never considered doing MPP from more than a single node, but it makes pretty obvious sense that it should work.
I wish the SN boycott would end so I could ask questions. Oh well.

Ah @tidwell sent this to me
Maybe we should challenge them and tell them that a pay-to-post relay is not very different from posting on Stacker News since relays also have operators and most users aren’t going to pay multiple relays to store the same data + you can crosspost to nostr from SN
Will reach out to @nvk on nostr to see what he would say to that

it's funny, they are talking about walled gardens on x 🤣

I wouldn't bother personally. The details of the argument don't matter to him.
He's bemoaning posting in "walled gardens" from another "walled garden" he posts on all the time. So, it's not about walled gardens. It's that he thinks people posting here takes something away from nostr. He sees the whole "bitcoin social media" thing as zero sum which imo just speaks to how shitty the product market fit of it all is.

Okay, I gave up writing a nostr note and mentioning him, even though I would really love to have a conversation with him about SN+crossposting vs paid relays vs Primal. But will probably not be worth it considering that I could have spent that time writing code.

More features like this will make running personal/private mints a thing. Meaning, this gives a node runner more utility than their node already provides.
