I just want to toss my ignorant two sats in. I ran knots on Start9. It's on the community registry rather than the regular Start9 registry. It's a bit confusing because you can't tell from the services page whether you are actually running knots or core. It's not idiot (sight) proof. I managed to fuck up my server making changes and finally reverted to core. Just an FYI. Not everyone is as tech challenged as me.

"If you already have Core installed, to install Knots you should: In the StartOS System tab, click the “Manage” heading 5+ times to enable developer mode. Click “Reinstall” on Knots in the Community Registry. If you get a notification claiming the install failed. Don’t worry, it succeeded."
It will then show as bitcoin knots under services.

I used this guide to migrate across and copy the blockchain data across rather than re-download.
