Cocktail of the day: The Cloister
As @cryotosensei asked for it, here we have one tonight (#979974): A gin sour that relies on two types of citrus, its monastic name is a nod to its inclusion of yellow Chartreuse, the complex herbal liqueur produced by the Carthusian monks of southeastern France.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz London Dry Gin
1/2 oz Yellow Chartreuse
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz grenadine
3-4 drops saline solution
Instructions:
Shake with one large and two smaller ice cubes and strain into a chilled Nick & Nora class with a fine mash strainer. No garnish needed.
