I stumbled upon this company called Song Bits:
Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics came up with the idea. The basic premise is that musicians sell "bits" of their songs to fans, and the fan invests in the future of the song and artist by receiving royalty rights commensurate to the investment.
I think this could be very interesting if a bitcoin based version was created. It might be better for artists and fans than a straight v4v model.

This website doesn't really tell you jack about what's happening in the background. Saw nothing mentioning Bitcoin, my gut's telling me it's all NFT shitcoins!

Oh, I'm not recommending the site. I'm talking about a completely new business that's bitcoin only, but based on this idea

Might be wrong, but I think you'd need NFT-style stuff for that on Bitcoin, and the community's not a big fan.

What I mean is the groundbreaking idea of being able to invest in a song by buying rights to future royalties. That wouldn't require an NFT. It's crowd sourcing with an incentive.

I saw the title and thought it was about the bits BIP I authored years back: BIP-0176

Ah! This isn't quite as important.

Seems almost like a prediction markets for music.
