As my slow painful uninspired journey learning to program continues I was using plebdev.com learning tools to up my skills and keep myself accountable.
I got through the free courses and even got some one on one help from THEE plebdev himself (thanks for not doxxing me 😁) to help link my VS code to my github.
After that positive experience I went on to access the premium content and take the front end course.
I took the HTML and CSS classes and those went well. Next was JavaScript and the video wouldn’t work. All I could hear was super testnet talk but no video. A few weeks turned into a month and still the video is broken.
Now my subscription is over and I’m back at square one wondering where I can learn to see my dream come to fruition!
I say this as warning. Dont pay for the premium until all the bugs are worked out. Just stick to the free courses.
Hey @BlokchainB thank you for sharing and I’m super sorry about this issue on the platform!

Your issue with the video not playing is something that I HAVE NOT been able to replicate! I have poured over my video details (and shipped multiple fixes and updates over the last month) and the only insight I have is that sometimes Firefox will still not play videos (I cannot replicate it now though!) This seems to be a CDN issue potentially.

Can you please share with me what browser you are using (and any errors in the console) I believe I had asked for this before?

Also I notice that I just zapped this post 50,000 sats so full refund for you.
Also I want to help with your dev journey specifically with JavaScript (and other plebdevs stuck on this step)

I am currently working on a JS intermediate course (to follow up the starter course) I am building this with YOU in mind! I want to help so please keep me accountable to finish this soon and I will deliver it to you for free.
Beyond that I can send you my calendly link in a DM, to let’s get you unblocked from where you’re stuck on JS!

(how should I send this to you?)
I’m sorry I failed you here!

Thanks I missed the question about the browser I was using. I am using brave browser.
Thanks for the sats. I will use them to buy another months access and see if we can fix this bug.
I’ll ping you once I’m back on and see if the issue is fixed

Why you did not notify @bitcoinplebdev about the issue immediately, instead of waiting for disappointment to grow on you and write this post?
It's easy to blame others when we can't recognize the problem is in our side. Have you even tried to clean the browser cache and try again?

I also am on a, “slow painful uninspired journey learning to program,” but have to say that my experience with the plebdev course was the exact opposite. It was radically exciting and really educational! I have to admit that I haven’t done much with it recently (just because of life and stuff), but, I was AMAZED at how @bitcoinplebdev bent over backwards to make sure I got the most out of the content. I took the courses before he did the new site, but there were even kinks he was working out then, when I brought those to his attention, every time I got a HUGE in-depth lesson (sadly some of which I’ve forgotten) on what was going on (usually an update by some library that was part of the lesson), and how programmers work through that stuff.
I don’t mean to downplay your frustrations (seriously, not trying to be rude), but I would absolutely downplay your warnings. The plebdev courses are AMAZING, even with some kinks due to its progressive nature.

I agree this is why I’m posting this the site doesn’t have a good way to post about bugs and getting support. Once you start paying for a service you expect the support to be better.

It's a bit hidden, but if you go to https://plebdevs.com/about, you can see there's a way to report bugs via Github or a Google form:
I guess the main issue was that this wasn't easy enough to find?
SN also really needs DMs lol, it's too easy to miss replies. I think that's what happened in #971854.

Yeah thanks. I couldn’t find this link
