Who has a top 10 QB, the Raiders or the 49ers?
Stafford feels oddly high? I know he’s good but I feel like he’s nearing the end and it shows

I'd have to go back and look at last season, because his receivers were injured early in the year, which could exaggerate how much he's declined.

That’s definitely true. I’m not expert. Just my gut reaction

The other thing that probably matters is PFF's grading system, which essentially scores every play by whether you screwed up or not. Stafford may have slipped in his abilities and be lagging behind some of the more dynamic QB's, but he doesn't screw up very many plays.

That is a very good point! I didn’t know that’s how they measure
reply
That's my understanding. They have a bunch of interns watch every snap for every player.
I think Geno and Purdy in the same tier after the 49ers disastrous season last year is pretty reasonable. I certainly wouldn't have Geno ahead and I don't really get the notion that Purdy had the 7th best PFF score for QBs in a down year with a team decimated by injuries but is the 11th best QB heading into the season. That seems like Cowherd logic.

You should read Herbert's description, if you want to be really confused about someone's placement.

Herbert is a mystery.

#8, because he stinks when it matters.

Murray > Purdy

I think PFF's scoring system is more about not making mistakes than it is about making incredible plays. That's probably why he ranks so low.
