We are counting down MLB's best ballparks throughout the 2025 season.
Here is last week's edition. #983066
This week we have #19.,
Yankee Stadium- New York Yankees
Opened: 2009
Capacity: 50,287
If we were talking old Yankee Stadium this would be an automatic top 5 park just based on history but there in lies the problem with the current Yankee stadium, it is a nice park but it is just a knock off of the classic. When I think about Yankee stadium it reminds me of the Venetian in Las Vegas. It's a really great replica but it's not the original. They did a nice job retaining the history element with monument park and of course by keeping the Yankee stadium name instead of naming it after a corporation. I have been to both old and new Yankee stadium and while the current park is nice, it is just not the same.
On to #18 next week.
Sats for all,
