Kylian Mbappé has made a stunning impact in his debut season with Real Madrid, clinching the 2024–25 European Golden Boot with 34 league goals, becoming the first Madrid player to win the award since Cristiano Ronaldo. His 31 La Liga goals also earned him the Pichichi Trophy as Spain's top scorer. A decisive double in the final match sealed his top spot over Sporting CP's Victor Gyokeres, who scored 39 goals but finished second due to the Golden Boot's weighted scoring system, which values goals in Europe's top five leagues at two points each. Mohamed Salah, with 29 goals for Liverpool, finished third but still made history as the first player to win the Premier League Golden Boot, Playmaker Award, Player of the Season, and the league title in the same campaign. Since 2014, no player has scored 31 goals; it seems that this year there weren't many goals in the European leagues.
