Hi,
I've been thinking about creating a small platform for selling ebooks for SATs.
I've no clue about websites, hosting, etc.
Just wandering where I can find a skilled person for doing a good job and how much could cost to create it?
Think first about how you'd market it. That's extremely important.
Would you put it on Amazon? Would you use Amazon ads (very expensive, maybe not worth it). Or would you just sell it on your own, and find other ways to market?
If you just want to sell some ebooks, you could consider http://Gumroad.com, or maybe https://www.lemonsqueezy.com. All payment processing, etc, would be taken care of with these 2 companies.
If you need a website, and you're new at this, you could do worse than trying something simple yourself, like https://carrd.co/.

I'm looking for BTC friendly options.
Thanks

none of these has bitcoin payment gateways integrated... I assume that's the goal here

You can also use https://geyser.fund to sell products for Bitcoin (both on-chain and lightning). It has order management, and soon shipping as well.

I don't think Gumroad nor lemonsqueezy handle bitcoin payments.
And the carrd.co suggestion is okay, but they said they want to set up a bitcoin ecommerce site, which is beyond what this platform offers.

Consider the app.PayWithFlash.com super easy, non-custodal as you can only connect it to your existing lightning wallet
We use it on our AGORA.ftp.sh/op, support team is great ad always available to help fix any issue you might have.
btw, I'll bookmark this for our next TM7. Let's talk business in the ~AGORA marketplace :)

Check out https://cypher.space powered by nostr, easy start, no tech know-how required, ecash compatible!
If you want to go hard core... consider BTCpay server, you can play around with it at https://mainnet.demo.btcpayserver.org/ and create your own shop there. Or better, subscribe for a VPS like.. can't remember the names. Voltage offers BTCpay too! If you need to receive sats, then connect an LNbits.com instance.
All the above get easier when you run your public node on clearnet...

You can integrate BTCPay Server into Woocommerce. https://docs.btcpayserver.org/WooCommerce/

That what we also do, but for non tech people is not easy to run a BTCpay instance

Have you considered listing the items on the Nostr marketplace protocol?
This is definitely the easiest way to sell items for sats.
Otherwise, you're looking at a basic ecommerce site + an integration with a bitcoin/lightning platform, along the lines of something like https://www.oshigood.us/
A freelancer would be able to handle this. I couldn't say how much someone would quote (I would need to spend a little time on it to quote it myself) but I would imagine it would be under a few thousand dollars. Again, the best place to ask around for these services would be nostr. And, once it's finished, https://catallax.network is intended for exactly this sort of thing!
