I am not really into solo artists or modern pop music which is trash. Pencil me down for Otis Redding (dead), Roy Orbison (dead) or Andrea Bocellli (not dead). 

If I had to pick from your list I would probably pick Ed Sheeran, he has some good songs but a lot crap too. I didn't mind Bruno Mars when he was popular and The Weekend is Canadian so I root for him.
