Would fully agree here. Blink is one of the best if you don’t want to manage any tech.
Building another new Nostr client to help businesses engage with their communities and users a little more easily. Coming soon™
This is something that I think we all struggle with. Slower feedback loops and delayed gratification are really hard. Especially when you're working on something that you're not sure is going to work out (like a new business, etc).
It's probably the thing I want to work on most this year is that I need to enjoy the process and the learning, even if the outcome turns out not to be good.
I zapped this one because I think the title of that article is bullshit and misleading. The farmers aren't protesting WEF taking over their farms, they're protesting the repeal of subsidies on diesel and tax write offs for farm vehicles. Yes, the WEF are complete assholes; but, in this case, not really the cause of these demonstrations.
Here's a slightly more balanced take from Reuters.
I had my first experience with Bufo in March of 2023 and it was a truly profound experience that has changed the course of my life. That's not to say that it was entirely pleasant or pleasurable but it was certainly impactful.
The best advice I got beforehand was that you really have to approach the experience being ready to accept WHATEVER you may experience. That is obviously easier said than done but I believe mentally preparing to be fully accepting/welcoming can go a long way to ensuring you have a good experience.
I'm keen to have another Bufo experience but I'm not in a rush as I'm still working on some of the insights that came from the first experience. 😅
Another thing to mention here is the Classifieds NIP. (https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/99.md). The marketplace NIP is great when you need a very structured store with product lines and products. The Classifieds NIP makes it easy to create Craigslist or Ebay type apps where the sellers are more ad hoc and occasional.
Rikki – the Italian in the video you linked – did a follow up at Baltic Honeybadger a few days ago. Unfortunately, it's not recorded (cypherpunk stage - so maybe there is an audio only version) but it painted a pretty dire picture. They went back to El Salvador and found things to be even worse than before...
You've basically just described every web2 business model. It's so hard not to centralize and aggregate on the web.
Not a knock, I think it's just super hard to see around the corner at what novel business model is going to come out of Nostr.
Yeah – it would be helpful for sure to have a lighter library. I'll have a think about how to do that...
Yup, exactly like @ekzyis said.
