But can't you do that already with a coordinator behind tor?
Great work as always! But if you use nostr as a "bulletin board", wouldn't they make the argument that the relay operators are coordinators? Are there any other ways you could run a "bulletin board" without the semi-centralization of relays?
Thanks for the overview!
Just a heads up: The price of the BitBox02 isn't really correct. We sell the device with all duties and taxes paid, while most other wallets don't. In a comparison like this, it makes more sense to use the price without taxes, which is 124ā¬, or add the taxes to all other hardware wallets.
Thank you for the shout out and happy to hear you're happy with your BitBox!
Certainly not the last time I'll post my content here, as it's usually focussed on beginners.
If you look at market share, we've already seen a convergence to USB devices that have 2 buttons and small screen (ledger and trezor). The vast majority of users are perfectly happy with that form factor.
But as someone actively working in this industry (at BitBox), I don't think we're in that converging phase just yet. It also depends on how much people are willing to pay for their hardware wallet. If you're limited to a $100 budget, there really isn't a crazy amount of new technology available that will let you build interesting devices.
I believe there's still a lot of room for so much creativity and exploration in the hardware wallet space.
Honestly I thought Miami beach was pretty shit. It has its nice sides, but it's full of show offs, rented super cars and crazy people. And obviously really expensive.
This image is misleading as it does not count nodes that are behind Tor.
Still, we need more decentralization.
