because bitcoin is immutable digital sovereign money. what is your logic for wanting to burn them?
the notion of burning coins through a hard fork is absurd. it's against the bitcoin ethos, and would undermine the entire project
isn't this a huge concern for bitcoin / lightning users ? when are we all gonna be required by law to route payment thru the blackrock lightning node?
if you take "government" to be more abstract i dont think it necessarily means rule by physical force. yes, society's current model of government is rule by physical force. but im basically getting at how an anarchist society could have a "government" whereby there are incentives at play that effectively govern a peaceful and bountiful society. prob with bitcoin as a pinnacle in the near term
government is a scam, and libertarians who don't identify as anarchists are just republicans in disguise
both of y'all are off on the bullshit jobs point. "capitalism" didn't create bullshit jobs. and bullshit jobs are not a luxury. state capitalism which we leave under, accumulates capital to the political class, which in turn uses that capital to keep us pre-occupied with bullshit jobs, so that the masses don't become a threat to their grift
maybe im too cynical but, "collaborating with governments to make a cheaper financial token system" sounds like a CBDC
