without investing in bitcoin and lightning ecosystem there is no growth and adoption, so with investing in companies in the space you're also driving up the demand for bitcoin and bringing it to the masses

i think the idea is the same as for everyone with a lot of assets nowadays (pre-crypto-rich) - you borrow against them and repay the loans with what your assets are producing or their appreciation

for bitcoin native solution, maybe you'll be able to deploy your bitcoin as lightning network capacity and earn from that indefinitely

i think they have a deal with bittrex, conversions are purely a taker traffic which is something that exchanges are usually very happy to get more of so they can have zero fee deal with them

there is an alternative viewpoint on this, soon lightning will be primary way people will be interacting with bitcoin so maybe we're overplaying the importance of separating this and forcing people to understand everything in detail

if you run tor only node you might not want to expose yourself with running something on clearnet, also there are other options of connecting this to lnbits, lnpay etc which dont need to be run by the user themselves

maybe hybrid approach can be in a way that you have subs which are basically just predefined filters for major tags to make it easier for users (its also more efficient in terms of filtering by tag vs doing full text search of user queries for the same thing)
