Right read: LDK runs in the browser, and the provider side is a LIJOX adapter next to LND.
The usual costs of phone nodes are real, so LiJ never routes (private channels, no gossip), the provider holds incoming payments while the phone is offline failing it if no answer in time, and if the phone's state is lost, Black start recovers everything with the 12 words through any provider.
The trade I chose is each user holding their own keys rather than an account on someone else's node. I'd value your closer look when you get to it.
Here’s the update:
#1596404
I don’t think Bolt-12 is the target (but will be incorporated either as a sidecar or when LND does.)
Marketplace and backup recovery (Black start when the service provider disappears) is a big improvement, making other LSP and even nostr nodes carry recovery packages.
It does. The whole LDK node (0.2.6) runs on the phone, compiled to WASM inside the browser- channels, keys and signing all stay on the device.
The adapter is the other half—it sits next to an operator's existing LND node and turns it into a LIJOX provider that wallets connect to.
Thank you for looking at it
