I think there’s overlap, and SN is already doing a lot of interesting things.

But Substr is just a bit more focused on Reddit-style communities and dedicated spaces around creators, podcasts, projects, interests, etc. with their own feeds, post types, long-form content, media and live streams.

Mostly just looking for ideas/features that could make those kinds of communities genuinely interesting to use and come back to.

Then its up to me to do better 😅✌️

Yeah I noticed @Kontext doing some stuff to! Great to see! To be honest, I haven’t really thought about that yet. I had an idea and just started working on it. Under the hood it’s built on WordPress, since that’s what I’m most familiar with, but with quite a few custom features I built myself. I don’t mind making it accessible and transparent — I’ll look into a good solution for that later.
