I think that's the key component... His audience. He highlighted that he's worried about the people who have high debt and wants them to focus on getting out of it. That's his brand and he can't deviate from that. Regardless if bitcoin could help him and his audience, he literally blows his entire narrative/brand if he capitulates. His recipe was created pre-bitcoin. And it's not a terrible recipe. It's also never going to change. At best, he'll create a new recipe for everyone who has completed the baby steps.
OAK is definitely a long shot. So I'm hoping for a split with HOU and a series win against KC. As a Giants fan, I try to watch as little MLB baseball as possible, because I like the hair that I have left on my head.
It’s a step in the right direction no doubt. Now run it based on mileage. Thats what matters. Cars with 5k miles per year should run brand new for a long time.
I toured Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Real Madrid’s stadium. It was wild. Felt like Fenway or Wrigley in that there’s so much history that they continue to renovate rather than build new. But the coolest thing, which is more recent, is the field system. The field is basically divided into rows that can move and be stored underground to be replaced by newer grass. The mechanics of this system are nuts.
I think that’s the plan. Basically, continuing NIL but as a pro.
Bottom line, there isn’t much demand for the WNBA. WNBA teams have little brand awareness. Only diehard fans can name every team in the league. As opposed to the college game; people have personal connections to colleges which clearly helps. Same with the Olympics. Lastly, WNBA is incredibly US-centric. Compared to WTA and the LPGA, this hurts when it comes to sponsorships and funding. Multi-national companies want to sponsor multi-national leagues.
The only thing stopping/slowing him down is if the other owners in leagues above him realize the cheat code and start doing it themselves. He probably has at least another epoch before that would happen.
