That is ridiculous. But I can semi understand it from a developer prospective they want usage and crash reports sent so I am sure some have good intentions. But Google being google they will definitely abuse it and use for tracking and or ad placement.

Glad I jumped ship on it when I did. Now all in on bitcoin atm.

Unfortunately never tried Plex but a buddy of mine liked the modular effect of Jellyfin compared to Plex. Plus I just use it for one thing viewing shows. So it has worked great for me in that regards.

I am mainly running a few docker images on various older hardware.

I am wanting to get a DNS and monitoring solution put in. that is coming in the future.

Yea find some online classes or youtube videos to go thru. Setup a github account and start programming a portfolio upload. This you can show to potential employers.
Also I would learn docker and running and setting up images to be able to spin up a wide variety of servers and toolsets. This will be a good skill going forward also.

Well it is one more thing for them to "hold" against you if they really want to charge you with something. Everyone breaks various laws and don't realize it. only when the govt goons want to strong arm you will they "enforce" something.
Or want to get rid of you.

Yea I have issues on occasion too. guess some growing pains and as others said possible relay sync issues.
