Like bitcoin is a need, electricity is a need, data centers are need. Unless you want to go preindustrial, then figure out a solution (hint: renewables and battery storage are improving rapidly, and I expect they will be virtually all our power in 50 years with gas as backup) rather than trying to hamper technological progress. Human ingenuity is a powerful thing, we can solve stuff

Was trying to find a less populated state to make it less likely that someone would already be there and hit the bounty in a few minutes. Conversely, didn't want to go too small to make this overly difficult. We'll see if my pick was a good one
Emotionally, a home can be great, but they don't really earn a great return compared to public markets, at least in the U.S. However, the last few years have had A LOT of price appreciation, so it's seemed like a good investment.
Also, if you spend all your money that comes in out of habit, forcing yourself to build equity through a mortgage is a good way to force savings.
That relates to a question I had - do people protect their city / state / country on here? I've seen a mix. For example, k00b is clearly in Austin per the footer on Stacker News. I've posted photos from NYC and Philly.
