Lmao welllll now Blanco's sudden emergence mighttttt be making more sense.... He killed my parlay yesterday though.... had him striking out 5+ so naturally, he gets thrown out after striking out 4....
Looks like Hunter Brown's stent in the bullpen will be a short one and he will fill in for Blanco in the rotation.
The umps comments though are cracking me up while also making me wonder what he used lol
Bacchus said there was nothing on Blanco's glove when he checked it in the middle of the first inning, but he discovered it when he did his second check before the fourth.
"I felt something inside the glove," Bacchus said. "It was the stickiest stuff I've felt on a glove since we've been doing this for a few years now."
Such a shock -- who'd ever have suspected the Astros of cheating?

Hey now the sign-stealing scandal was years ago before most of this team was even here! Plus we have seen from other players who have since retired it was an extremely prevalent practice we just had someone go public with it.
I honestly think that is why you never saw suspensions or huge punishment by the MLB. They likely found out how bad it was and went if we punish this team to severe these players (Astro players) are going to talk and someone like Beltron who was on the Yankees if they were doing anything like that (don't forget they and Boston were fined the same year for illegal electronic usage of signs stealing with Apple Watches) it was going to be a huge stain on the team so Houston took the brunt of it all for the sake of the sport.
Plus it wasn't like we were bad just look at the results since lol! Now our window is closing and its going to suck in likely 3 years but right now we still have time for one more good run at it

As a Mets fan, I also remember 1986 and Mike "I’ve thrown balls that were scuffed but I haven’t scuffed every ball that I’ve thrown" Scott winning the Cy Young and NLCS MVP. So I just assume it's an "every generation" thing. :-)
(But yeah, I don't doubt cheating happens in a lot of organizations -- there were plenty of corked bat and scuffed ball scandals over the years. It's just that it really does seem to be something that hits the 'Stros again and again.)

Astros are the Patriots of MLB.

Who was the guy that had a razor blade in his either glove or pocket that he would use to mess up the ball lol I mean its been since the dawn of the sport.
One of my favorite not necessarily cheating but not the best show of sportsmanship was how Ty Cobb used to sharpen his spikes before games to scare the catcher and anyone else from getting in his way when he slide lol

Yeah, Cobb was a mean SOB -- by all accounts one of the least likable to play the game.
As far as razors go, it feels like that or some variation (Joe Niekro with his famous emery board) comes up every few years.

The Blue Jays want a redo on the no hitter game. Haha
