That last bit about you’re either poor or rich is my feeling - I think I confused middle class with rich when I was there.

There is no middle class here anymore.
I don't think any of them can buy a house or a new car with their own earnings unless they are young and their fathers are rich.
Bodrum is wealthy people's town.
