Typically a roll of 35mm film comes with 36 exposures (pictures that can be taken). However there are technically 39 exposures since the first 3 shots are suppose to advance your film to get to the “1st actual” exposure. People don’t usually use the first frame since you only get a “half shot” but with a little creativity and intuition, you make some wonderful.
