Survivor week 4 post coming up shortly from the Survivor account. As you all know much has occurred.
Shout out to @tnuts420 for winning the weekly pick em challenge with 3/3 and the best tiebreaking score. A bittersweet victory but a victory nonetheless. We are still waiting for a back to back champ in the pick em challenge. Could week 4 be the week? Or will we crown another new champ next Tuesday.
Today's topic for discussion is: Are the Dolphins really this good? I am not surprised the Chiefs and Bills rebounded after tough week 1 losses. I am not surprised the Eagles are 3-0 and look like they are starting to round into form. I am not surprised the Cowboys have looked like the best team in the league at times and left you scratching your head at other times, that's kind of the Cowboys thing. I am a bit surprised the 49ers season has started so smoothly, but only because they tend to start slow and hit their stride around week 5. But the Dolphins have really surprised me. Certainly how dominant they have been on the offensive side of the ball but they are playing much better D than I expected as well. I suppose we should wait until after they play the Bills this week but what is the fun is that. Give me your small sample size hot take on the Dolphins.
Sats for all.
Cheers, GR
I think Mike McDaniel is a genus. The rushing attack and QB Skylar Thompson almost beat the bills in the playoffs last season!!
But Sean is just as good as Bill up in NE at scheming up a defense to slow them down. The fins are foreal but the nfl season is long. Pains me to say this but I think Miami might take this one like they did last season early in the year. The quick strike offense is deadly and the bills offense while good doesn’t make it look effortlessly to score touchdowns. But I could be massively wrong if the fins have a weak DL. If they can’t stop the run and pressure josh the back end and secondary isn’t good enough to stop buffalo.

Measured analysis from a Thrills fan. Your lack of confidence has me thinking the Dolphins are revealed as frauds this week. At least on the defensive side and Buffalo does enough to slow down the offense. I will say 34-30 Bills.

Lol 😂 I haven’t watched a full Dolphins game from kickoff to kneel but I watch my bills and I’m being real. The offense has struggled against two dominant DLs in the jets and Washington. The commanders game was within reach going into the 4th because the offense couldn’t score touchdowns.

They are rounding into form. Keep the faith. I have been surprised by the Dolphins, I don't think they have enough D to be a top echelon team. Playoff team sure, but I don't see them as a superbowl contender yet.

Tyreek is the scariest weapon since Barry Sanders.

They have some speedsters. It will be interesting to see how the Bills D handles them. Also how Miami D looks against a potent offense.
reply
Agreed. The Dolphins have the luxury of only needing to defend against the pass, because they score so much teams can't afford to run against them.

Interesting perspective. I would think a good strategy would be the same and with Chiefs, you need to get up early and control time of possession. So run game is perfect for that but not if you let them score on you early.

Under Gruden, the Raiders played the Chiefs pretty well and that was the strategy. The Dolphins seem to be taking more of a Cobra Kai strategy this season.

The Bills v.s Dolphins game will be interesting. I think Buffalo might get sucked into a shootout like the Chargers did.

Broncos and stupid ass Sean Payton are just that bad. I feel for broncos fans and players, but Payton's getting all the shit he finally deserves. Karma Payton karma.

I will mark you down as undecided.

Absolutely... no strong feelings either way... 🙄
