US vehicle manufacturer General Motors says it will spend $888m on a plant to make V-8 engines in Tonawanda, near Buffalo in New York State.
It’s the company’s biggest single investment in an engine plant, and will make sixth generation V-8 engines used in large trucks and SUVs.
The company’s current Tonawanda Propulsion plant will be remodelled, but in the meantime will keep making fifth generation V-8s.
Production of the new engine is due to begin in 2027
I wonder what GM vehicles will this V-8 engine be installed for? Trucks? Maybe the corvette?
and will make sixth generation V-8 engines used in large trucks and SUVs.

I've got an F150 with a 5.0 and every time I run into someone with an EcoBoost they tell me they wish they just went with the V8... If these anecdotes are any indication I'd say that the turbo psyop is wearing off on Truck owners... I assume Chevy has boosted trucks?
