I often feel pretty down on the state of privacy in Bitcoin, but it is true that there is some focus on it: Open Sats has funded Payjoin and El-Tor and Spiral has funded Payjoin developers and Coinswap.
This is the second grant Maelstrom has made supporting privacy tools (the first was for payjoin work).

Silent Payments is a good thing to be working on, but I find it strange that the grantee has less than 6 months of Github activity.

Tbh I care more about the quality of their code than their GitHub streak. Plenty of legendary devs ghost mainstream platforms. Silent Payments isn’t exactly beginner level stuff, but if Ron’s shipping real work, I’m glad Maelstrom is funding it.
