@Coinsreporter has done an amazing job teaching us all about cricket and getting us interested with his various contests.
We are following leagues in Australia, India, England and now the US. That's right the US has a pro cricket league and it has a great name- Major League Cricket. Sounds like Major League Baseball, must be good.
Actually, the product and presentation is pretty darn good (short of a few fans though- but to be fair the game I watched was in Oakland and no one used to watch the A's there either). My biggest qualm about Major League Cricket, and my newly adopted team the San Francisco Unicorns (they are just like the SF Giants but for 6 year old girls), is the team logos are terrible. I think a partially trained AI made these.
I will now rank these from least bad to really bad and give them a score out of 10.
Washington Freedom 6/10 Texas Super Kings 4/10 Los Angeles Knight Riders 4/10 Seattle Orcas 4/10 Mumbai Indians of New York 2/10 San Francisco Unicorns 1/10
What say you stackers? Which of these do you like the most and least?
Sats for all, GR
Thanks for the praise. I believe it's the curiosity among Sports lover stackers that lead to interest for Cricket, the 2nd most popular sport globally.
Apologies but I don't agree with the scores. I'd give 6/10 to both Knight Riders and Super Kings and 4/10 to Washington. Fot the rest of them just 2/10. And yeah...
Sounds like Major League Baseball
To me Baseball is the second class mimicry of Cricket.
reply
Cricket is only the 2nd most popular sport because 1.4B people in India haven't figured out that baseball is better. Once Arjun Nimmala reaches the majors and is dominating and they have a true Indian star to root for they will switch from Cricket to a game of skill Baseball.
reply
Cricket isn't a game played only in India unlike Base-d-ball that's only played in the US. Instead of rooting for Arjun, Indians and all Cricket fans would like to root for Aaron Jones and Steven Taylor who are playing an original game for their Nation. They chose Cricket because they knew Baseball is limited to a National legue.

Baseball is played and beloved in latin America, Japan and Korea not just the US.

20 only 😂😂
Cricket is being played in more than 120 countries. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_International_Cricket_Council_members

That's the top 20 list.
128 men's national baseball teams associated to WBSC.
I will agree cricket is more popular globally but that has more to do with how popular it is in India and Pakistan which have massive combined populations.
I'd switch your last two, but otherwise I concur. I might even put the Freedom at 7, but I suppose freedom would resonate more with me than some Canadian commie.

The freedom logo is good but looks too AI generated for my liking. Especially the font. A bit more style and it might have been an 8.

Agree with your scoring

Thanks. I actually like the Washington Freedom logo. I think it could be much better though. It looks too AI generated.
reply
Addendum. I actually like the colours of all of them. The logos are just bad.
