Warning to all you Sparrow wallet users. There's a scam site hosted at sparrowwallet [dot] net which according to CraigRaw, the creator of Sparrow, is hosting bad binaries.

The real Sparrow wallet website is sparrowwallet.com, see further discussion on the official Sparrow telegram at t.me/sparrowwallet

CraigRaw was suggesting reporting the site to GoDaddy, if you have a couple od minutes to spare.

Always do either one of these:

  • Build the software from source
  • Download the binaries from the software repository and verify their gpg signatures and checksums
  • Install it using your OS' native package manager from their trusted package repositories.
