Hello Nostr!
Long time no see.
Earlier this year, I became a father - and as you can imagine, life has changed profoundly since then.
Back in my late twenties, I started taking fitness more seriously. I became really invested in staying in shape and using my body to its full potential. I got into a daily routine at the very least doing some push-up and often challenged myself to complete a Chris Heria workout each day (https://youtu.be/yVQF_Vr_XCE).
@denlillaapan was a huge source of inspiration for me on that journey.
Eventually, I built a solid routine and got into pretty good shape. I was doing well! But as my partner entered the third trimester of pregnancy, my priorities shifted. I became more distracted, less consistent, and, admittedly, a bit lazy.
Fast forward to the last couple of weeks: Joakim came to visit and we got back to our old habit of competing with each other which is always a blast. To be fair, he’s definitely ahead right now!
After he left and we returned from a family holiday, I had a moment of clarity. I told myself: “I can’t let this momentum go to waste.” I have a new responsibility now: I want to be the best father I can possibly be.
Better than my own dad. Better than the other dads I see around me. But most importantly: better than the dad I am today.
So here we are. This marks the beginning of my journey to become a super-dad.
And I’m holding myself accountable by tracking my progress.
What about you? Are you striving to become the best version of yourself?
