Viktor Frankl's book, Man's Search for Meaning, always comes to mind when I think about resilience.
Great book… a powerful story and exploration of suffering in the face of near hopelessness. Resilience certainly sums it up.
My favourite quote;
‘Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.’ Viktor E. Frankl

That’s one of @carlosfandango’s favourite reads. I tried to search for his book review, but I think he might have deleted it
I saw your old comment on this book somewhere. How has it changed your worldview?

It was not worthy of the book. My review deserved to be vapourised…

Your review actually inspired me to buy and read the book. Thank you!

That’s nice to hear. Perhaps it wasn’t entirely worthless then

Hard to put in words, but I'll say this: a few months after reading the book, I fell very ill, I was in constant pain for a few weeks. I remember once thinking about the book in one of those moments, it helped me put things into perspective, accept my condition but still carry on with my life, and eventually get through it...

It is both challenging and powerful stuff.
