Well, as an attempt to promote a new service, this boosted post backfired terribly.
@piggy, are you ready to reimburse @chebibu before folding books? @chebibu, are you ready to admit you are second guessing your decision after reading all the comments here?
People talk, argue, complain. That is theirs. We mock what we don’t understand to look clever, while building nothing. Years ago I chose to design for Bitcoin. Today I choose to save in piggy. Life is choice, thats how we grow. For me it makes sense. time will show… in 4 years :))

That, or people learn from the years of scamming and grifting. The shitcoin grift is ripe of people building for the sake of building, solutions in search of problems. Your pet project could have been built minimizing trust, removing custody risk, yet they (un)knowingly didn't. Unknowingly, then i would not trust their technical knowledge to custody my funds. Knowingly, then i would question their incentives.

@remindme in 1 year, that'll probably be enough ;)

Totally. Either malicious or incompetent, both are a bad look.
Piggy product isn’t clever or novel, it’s the same old custodial “trust me bro” scams with lineage in pirateat40 (Bitcoin savings trust) or Bitconnect. Maybe you get your coin back. Mostly likely you will lose it all.
Chebibu - this product is not fit for use by anyone. Its existence is negligent.

Close your eyes. Count to three. Breathe in… let gooo. Now imagine a world where not every Bitcoin tool is Bitconnect. Exhale, let the tech do its work.
Quick question though, what have you built for Bitcoin? I’d honestly love to see your contributions. No offense, just curious.

Every custodial honeypot IS Bitconnect. You either get this, and so are a scammer, or you don’t get this, and shouldn’t be handing peoples sats. Building honeypots is not helping Bitcoin. It’s empowering scammers who steal, or governments who will confiscate and steal. You are manifesting this.
I am not doxing this pseudonym. I won’t tell you what I have done. Every scammer asks this, to defer from their own. I will tell you I have never scammed a single sat. But I have certainly lost a few to custodial traps like this.

never used coinbase or cashapp or binance huh? youra hardcore my boi..

Of course I have. I wouldn’t store coins with them, and I certainly would not expect them to safely store my coins for 5 years.
I’ve been around and seen a dozen or more exchanges run away with people’s money. I expect no different from piggy.

Knowingly, using common sense, we’ve concluded that a Bitcoin “piggy bank” can’t live on-chain with a self-custody setup. At ~600 sat/vB, self-custody fees eliminate about 99% of use cases, and the remaining 1% is already covered by plenty of existing wallets. This is a long-term project, and we’re sure fees won’t remain as low as they are today and self-custody will become unaffordable for many. It’s not a question of if, but when.

I think they might be the same person
