pull down to refresh

My legs were wrecked once I made it to Anglesea. I had visited my friends parents in the morning and they gave me all their empty bottles and cans. Plus it was my friends birthday and they were off to play golf with him. They let me have a shower and gave Russell and myself some food.
I told them about the squatting and they were cool with it. We also laughed about the contrast of the difference between my friends birthday this year and last year because on his birthday last year I was undertaking a plumbing apprenticeship and we had all gone out to dinner and now I’m travelling around unemployed living in a van with my dog.
They dropped me off at the recycling machine, I cashed in my bottles and then walked back into town. In town I walked around and met a few different people and stayed following them for my instagram social media experiment. I asked a bus driver how much it was to Apollo Bay and he said $5.50 and if I wanted to bring Russell I would need a cage.
So I started looking for a cage my best bet was the Op shop unfortunately they didn’t have a cage big enough for Russell. Fortunately though I met a lovely lady out the front of the Op shop, her name was Kerry. Kerry is a 71 year old lady who was going through quite a bit. She had a lovely staffy Winnie who had passed away. I started to tell Kerry my tale and she said she was supposed to me meeting a friend in Torquay but that friend hadn’t replied so would I like a lift to Lorne and said yes I would love one.
Before I met up with Kerry again for my lift my old man called me and asked how far I had gotten and I told him about my lift to Lorne. He asked if I would like him to come meet me in Lorne and give me a lift back to Apollo Bay and I said yes please thank-you very much. So looks like I had the rest of the trip back to the van sorted.
In the car ride back to Lorne Kerry and I talked about all kinds of things I told her about my wife dream and how I meet her but we are fighting at the moment and she said that sounds like true love and I was lucky to experience such a thing as it is very rare for someone to experience and I agreed with her. We also discussed suicide as her partner had killed himself and she and Winnie had discovered his body hanging in the house.
In the car she was very happy that Russell was sitting on Winnie’s blanket and she told me about where Winnie used to rest her head in the car. When we got to Lorne Kerry gifted Russell Winnies old drinking bowl and we met her friend Dave it was hilarious because they both acted like teenagers towards each other. It was heartwarming to see and Kerry told me she had known him since she was 20. We got some smokes of Dave and waited for my old man to turn up. When dad arrived he and Kerry had a chat about Staffys as my Dad is a big dog lover. Kerry and also swapped contact details and then I was off to Apollo Bay with my old man. Finally I would be back with the van.
