pull down to refresh

I have come to the conclusion that portion size is the reason for people being fat.
Sounds simple right? But also add into the mix that food is literally heroin on a spoon, well not that spoon!
I've been wanting to trim down a few pounds and I don't want to go down the road of dieting because as we all know, as soon as you stop the diet...well you know the rest.
So I want to continue eating all the same shit I eat now but I'll just have to eat less of it, calories in calories out right?
But then the waters are muddied even further by all the information we are bombarded with concerning food, the marketing of food companies is insane, the marketing of dieting and now we have the unlimited amounts of content about fasting and eating once a day or whatever connotation you hear.
But cut away all the fat, pun intended, it literally comes down to how much you are loading into your face everyday.
If you work out or calculate how many calories you need to satisfy your current weight, and then actually count your calories for one day, I think you'd be surprised at the amount your piling in. (that's if you're overweight of course, some of you are happy with yourselves weight wise)
It's extremely easy to just say portion size, when paradoxically within that, there is the emotional attachment to food, where we comfort eat, there is the cultural norm to eat 3 or more times a day and we eat out of boredom and habit.
So there is discipline needed but ultimately it just comes down to what's on your plate.
