GREENWIRE | Federal officials have granted two U.S. liquefied natural gas projects near the Gulf of Mexico extra time to get ready for exports.
On Friday, Energy Secretary Chris Wright signed an order granting Energy Transfer six additional years to begin gas exports from the Lake Charles LNG project, which is planned for southwestern Louisiana.
LNG is shaping up to be a large industry pushed by the US Government.

The US government supports any project/industry that it thinks will benefit...not just in the energy sector, but everywhere. This is completely natural, the "problem" is when they try to exploit, monopolize, or "buy" (using different means) these companies.
